Novel coronavirus cluster infection has occurred at Thailand’s largest frozen chicken plant

     Novel coronavirus cluster infection occurred at a large chicken processing plant in Phetchabun province, Thailand. The screening results at 20:00 local time showed that after 6,587 employees in the factory, 3,177 people were confirmed infected, including 372 Thai employees and 2,805 foreign employees.

   After the outbreak of the epidemic, relevant local departments set up 3,000-bed square cabin hospitals in the factory, and the factory and surrounding areas implemented closed management to strictly restrict the flow of personnel.In addition, authorities also screened the virus for high-risk people in three residential communities around the factory, tested 115 people and confirmed 19 cases of infections.

    At present, local authorities are stepping up screening and arrange vaccination for high-risk people to curb the spread of the epidemic as soon as possible.
