Singapore has lifted import restrictions on poultry and poultry products from areas affected by the avian flu outbreak in Sweden.

 

      On 5 August 2021, the Food Authority of Singapore (SFA) announced that it would lift restrictions on the import of poultry and poultry products from Sweden’s Skene province in Stad city.  

      It is learnt that on 21 November 2020, Singapore imposed temporary import restrictions on poultry and poultry products from areas affected by the highly pathogenic H5N8 avian influenza outbreak in Stad city, Skene Province, Sweden.  

    The outbreak in the region has now been resolved, and Singapore’s food authority said it would lift the import restrictions.
