Thailand is now the largest chicken exporter in Asia and third in the world after Brazil and the United States. In 2022, Thailand exported $4.074 billion worth of chicken and its products to the global market, an increase of 25% over the previous year. In addition, Thailand’s exports of chicken and its products to Free trade Agreement (FTA) market countries in 2022 were positive. In 2022, Thailand exported more than $2.8711 billion worth of chicken and its products to FTA market countries, an increase of 15.9%, accounting for 70% of the total export, showing a good growth in export to FTA market countries.
Charoen Pokphand Group, Thailand’s largest conglomerate, officially opened a chicken processing plant in southern Vietnam on October 25.They use some chicken feather meal machine .The initial investment is $250 million and the monthly production capacity is about 5,000 tons. As the largest chicken processing plant in Southeast Asia, it exports mainly to Japan in addition to Vietnam’s domestic supply.
