Starting from January 1st, the quota for “Other Countries” was reduced to 52,000 tons, while the UK’s quota was increased by 13,000 tons.
By January 5th, 91% of the “Other Countries” quota had been used up.
For countries without quotas, the subsequent import tariff rate rose to 26.4%, accelerating the depletion of quotas and causing price fluctuations.
