The Uruguayan government recently signed an agreement with China to launch the export of rhinoceros bile.
Rhinoceros bile is highly priced in the Asian pharmaceutical industry, with a value of up to 250,000 US dollars per kilogram. Due to its use in traditional Chinese medicine, it has properties such as sedation, fever reduction, and anti-inflammatory effects.
The Uruguayan Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries, Alfredo Frati, stated that this cooperation will increase the trade surplus between Uruguay and China.
